Fujistu P771 Finger print security

I have been provided a Fujitsu Lifebook P771 by Fujitsu Lifebook team, as an insider. It is a 12.1 inch laptop equipped with a Core i5 V-Pro processor, 4 GB of Ram, 320 GB of hard disk, 1.3 Mega Pixel Webcam, Finger print reader, UMTS device and a modular bay for extension, running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

On switching on the system, for the first time, I was surprised with the fast loading of Windows, the crisp graphics on a matte screen and easy access buttons on top of the keyboard. With such a great machine in my hands, I decided to secure it with a Finger Print, in the Windows login.

Unlike other laptop manufacturers, Fujistu has provided a very simple to use application "Omnipass security". The whole system can be secured within minutes.

First open the Omni Pass Control Panel from the task bar.

Click on "Enroll New User" button, on the right side of the window.

After clicking, it provides two options:

1- Enroll an existing Windows user
2- Create and enroll a new windows user.

I chose "Enroll an existing Windows user" since I want to secure the existing username.

Now I chose a finger for the logon security.

Next step is to confirm the Finger Print since if there is an error, I may not be able, to login again.

After confirming, it requires to enroll one more finger as a precaution.

After finishing, we logoff to check the status of the security.

After logoff, it asks to pass the finger on the finger print reader, to login.

And now the system is secured in less than 5 minutes. Now my data is safe from anybody, trying to steal in my workplace.
